Welcome
Welcome to the Texas Tau Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. We are located only minutes away from Texas A&M University, where we reside in a traditionally styled fraternity house on over five gated acres.
If you are interested in joining a fraternity, or learning more about our brotherhood, take a second to view our Rush section. Here, as well as at the top of this page, you will find our Rushee Form.
Alumni, we are very proud of our new-and-improved website. We will be updating the site on a regular basis and we see the site as a great way to communicate. As always, thank you for your continued support.
Our Fraternal Creed, The True Gentleman:
The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.

Spring Parents Weekend
Great Success
Thank you to all the Parents that attended Parents Weekend on Saturday, February 26. Parents and members alike raved how successful and fun the weekend was. Not only did everyone have a great time, but we are well on our way to getting a New Tailgate Tent!! Special thanks goes out to Kyle Kacal of Tonkaway Ranch for hosting us. Also to Lynne Eller for putting on an great parents club meeting. Please keep your ears open for the date of Parents Weekend this fall!
Congratulations To Braedon Eller
Our fraternity builds leaders; Braedon Eller was recently elected as Texas A&M's IFC President for the 2011-2012 school year. Braedon being president will increase SAE's presence in Student Leadership on campus. This also reinforces our commitment to being leaders throughout Greek Life and A&M. Corgratulations Braedon!
New Improvements To The House
We will be investing thousands of dollars towards house renovations. We are one of the few fraternities at Texas A&M fortunate enough to have built our own fraternity house. Our members take pride in our house. We have just added lighted sand volleyball and basketball court to the property, and hope to continue making improvements.
Another Successful Rush!!
Congratulations to the 21 members of the Fall '11 Beta Xi pledge class walking the steps of Bid House on Saturday, September 10. We are excited to get such a large and quality pledge class. We look forward to having a great pledgeship and initiating these New Members in December 2011.

Texas Tau Fraternity House
In 2000, a group of motivated brothers raised the money for the Texas Tau Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon to begin building a new fraternity house where we currently reside. Our current active members are lucky to reside in a beautiful traditional styled fraternity house located on more than five gated acres and only one mile from Texas A&M 's main campus. We currently house 18 members with a full commercial kitchen and a beautiful wood adorned chapter meeting room. We are currently making improvements on many parts of the property, and particularly improving the energy efficiency of the house to save on bills and wasted electricity.

Philanthropy Events
Alumni,
The pictures on the left depict Texas Tau's latest project; remembering a brother who lived and breathed the spirit of Texas Tau.
We have begun our 2010 Fundraising Campain and the majority of the funds raised will be allocated toward completeing the Chase Bergfeld Memorial.
The memorial will be a multi-use facility. It will honor a brother, protect our build wood from the weather, and transform into a band stage/dance hall during major parties.
We need Alumni help to fund this project. Please help us remember Chase "Bergo" Bergfeld.
To donate to the 2010 Campain, please click on the "Link to Alumni Page" in the top right corner of this webpage.

Welcome Parents,
First of all let me say thank you all for your support and dedication to this chapter, we appreciate your help. One of the main ways that our chapter receives help for rush or other undertakings is through SAE Parent's Club. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Parent's Club, it is a group made up of parents of SAE members and chapter alumni. From a personal perspective, Parent's Club helps make many of the better aspects of our fraternity possible through their support. Parent's Club rewards active members and pledges with scholarships given out to the highest GPAs each semester. Also, they volunteer along side our members to volunteer at Chilifest. Chilifest is a concert that was started by our chapter in 1991 and is now one of the biggest music festivals in South Texas. Unfortunately, Chilifest as grown so large that it has been incorporated into its own corporation, Chilifest Inc. The concert raises money for charities in the Brazos Valley. Donations of close to $2,000,000 have been given to organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and Go Texan. Volunteering is a great way to see the concert and spend time with your son, while helping thes less fortunate members of our local community. If you are interested in joining Parent Club to get involved with the fraternity, you can fill out a membership form by clicking the link at the bottom-right of this page.
If you are the parent of a student who is thinking of joining a fraternity please take the time to look around the website and learn more about SAE here at Texas Tau. This chapter prides itself on the opportunities it provides to its members and its ability to develop leadership. If you have any more questions I am always open to talk.
Thanks for your time,
Matt McClellan
